The three cookies, by name

Each name below is exactly what your browser shows for cypruscompanyhub.com; the lifetimes are the max-age values our server sends.

• pref_fi: stores your answer to the banner, “all” after Accept all or “necessary” after Necessary only. Set only when you click one of the two buttons. Lifetime: 365 days, the same for both answers.
• cid_68: a random identifier (UUID) that lets us count a returning browser once instead of twice. Set on your first page view unless you have chosen Necessary only. Lifetime: 406 days.
• from_1p: the source of the current visit, such as “google”, “direct” or “referral”. Renewed on every page you open and expires after 40 minutes without activity.

HttpOnly means scripts on the page cannot read these cookies; only our server receives them with each request. You can still see and delete them in your browser's site data for cypruscompanyhub.com.

Before you answer the banner

cid_68 and from_1p are set on your first page view, before you click anything in the banner. We rely on implied consent here: visits are counted from the first page, and an explicit Necessary only switches counting off completely. A stricter opt-in model would leave out every visitor who leaves before answering; we chose to count them and to make refusal take effect on the next request.

Search engine crawlers and other automated clients get no cookies at all. Our server recognises them by the User-Agent header, so they are not counted as visitors either.

What visit statistics record

Only visits that start from Google search are written to our statistics log; visits from other sources receive the from_1p label but produce no record. Each record is created on our server and sent to our own statistics server; no tracking script runs in your browser.

• the page address and the referring address;
• the visitor identifier from cid_68;
• the browser User-Agent string;
• the country derived from your IP address, plus a salted SHA-256 hash of the address; the IP address itself is not stored.

We use these records to see which pages people reach from search and how many of them come back. Nothing is shared with advertisers or combined with the details you send through a request form; those details are covered by our Privacy Policy.

What “Necessary only” and “Accept all” change

Necessary only sets pref_fi to “necessary” for 365 days and deletes cid_68 and from_1p in the same response. From then on our server sets neither cookie and writes no statistics record for your browser.

Accept all sets pref_fi to “all” for 365 days. It adds no new cookie: the 2 statistics cookies are already in place, and nothing from third parties is switched on, because there is nothing to switch on.

Both buttons are plain links handled by our server, so they work with JavaScript disabled. After the click you return to the page you were reading and the banner no longer appears.

Changing your answer later

Delete pref_fi in your browser's site data for cypruscompanyhub.com, reload any page, and the banner returns with both buttons. Deleting all cookies for the site does the same and also removes the statistics cookies.

If your browser blocks cookies for cypruscompanyhub.com, nothing is counted, but the banner shows on every page: without pref_fi our server has no way to remember that you already answered. The site and the request form work either way.

What this policy does not cover

• Websites we link to, such as Cyprus government portals and registers, set their own cookies under their own policies.
• Email you send to [email protected] and the request form are covered by the Privacy Policy, not by cookies.
• A visitor who leaves before answering the banner has already been counted through cid_68; Necessary only stops counting from that moment and does not remove earlier records.
