Every Cypriot figure on Cyprus Company Hub comes from one dataset of 129 facts, each tied to at least one of 54 listed sources and stamped with the date we last checked it. The Cyprus dataset was last checked in full on 25 September 2026. This page explains where those facts come from, which source wins when two disagree, what we print when a figure is not published, and how to tell us we got something wrong.

Where the facts come from

Of the 54 sources behind our Cyprus pages, 41 are primary and 13 are secondary. Primary means the body that makes or applies the rule: 5 legal texts (EU regulations and directives on EUR-Lex), 28 pages and documents of Cypriot government departments such as the Tax Department and the Registrar of Companies, and 8 publications of regulators such as CySEC and the Central Bank of Cyprus.

A fact is never a loose sentence. Each one is stored with its value, unit, the ids of its sources and a check date. Pages read the value from that record, so when we update the record, every page that quotes it changes at the same time. Corporate income tax is a typical entry: 15%, checked on 25 September 2026, sourced to “Income Tax (Amending) Law N. 244(I)/2025 - Tax Department presentation” (Tax Department, Ministry of Finance of Cyprus) plus 2 secondary summaries.

Which source wins

The order is fixed, and a lower source never overrides a higher one:

  • The law itself: the Cyprus Official Gazette, or EUR-Lex for EU regulations and directives.
  • The department or regulator that applies it: Tax Department, Registrar of Companies, Migration Department, CySEC, Central Bank of Cyprus.
  • Secondary publications, such as PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries or articles by Cypriot professional firms. They are labelled “secondary source” wherever they appear in a source list.

We use a secondary source in two cases only: to date a change before the department has updated its own page, or to confirm how a primary text is applied. When a secondary summary and the Tax Department disagree, we print the Tax Department figure.

When a figure is not published

We print “Not published” instead of an estimate. 3 of the 129 facts in the Cyprus dataset are empty for this reason. One example: the Registrar lists the company limited by guarantee with a share capital as a company type but sets no separate minimum share capital for it, so that cell reads “Not published”.

An empty cell is information. It tells you the figure will be set in your own file, by the authority, and that nobody can quote it to you in advance with a source attached. We do not fill it with a typical value from forums or from other providers.

When the law changes

A change enters the dataset only once a primary source publishes it, and it gets a dated entry in the programme updates list. There are 12 such entries for Cyprus, from 1 November 2020 to 1 July 2026. The 2026 tax reform shows the sequence: in force from 1 January 2026, it changed the corporate income tax record to 15%, and every page quoting that rate switched with it.

Closed schemes stay on the site, marked as closed with the date they closed, so an old article elsewhere does not send you towards a programme that no longer accepts applications. A programme is never shown as open after its source says otherwise.

How our prices differ from the facts

Our own prices are not facts from the dataset, and we do not present them as such. All 18 of the 18 Cyprus packages on the site are indicative starting prices. Company formation, for example, starts from €1,200 with 7–15 working days for our part of the work. Indicative prices; the final quote depends on your case.

Government fees are kept apart and shown with their own source. The Registrar’s incorporation fee, €165 (source: Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property), is paid at cost and is not part of the package price.

How to report an error

Email [email protected] with the page address, the figure you think is wrong and, if you have it, a link to the source that says otherwise. We usually reply within one business day.

  • We check your claim against the primary source, not against the secondary one you or we quoted.
  • If the figure was wrong, we correct the fact record and its check date moves to the day of the correction.
  • If the rule itself changed, the change also gets a dated entry in the programme updates list.
  • If the figure was right, we reply with the source and the date we checked it.

What this site does not do

The information on this site is general and is not legal advice for your specific situation. The 129 facts describe the general rule as published on their check date. They do not assess your residence history, your company structure or your family situation, and they do not predict how the Migration Department, the Tax Department or CySEC will decide on a file.

This page is not for readers who need a written opinion on their own position or representation before an authority or a court. What we do is the practical work on the pages of this site: we register companies, file registrations and prepare applications, at the price and within the timeline we state for our part.
